Agyness Denn is. The essence of feminity comes from her boyish look.
She has an advertising campaign with Jean Paul Gautier at the moment (December 2008).
Have a look at the Fashion Model Directory!
Our friend working for the famous Japanese Fashion magazine Maquia invited her for a photo session in 2008... I would have enjoyed bringing coffee on the set!

I met her in Japan and in Paris
Then we visited a glasses and shades exhibition in Paris and I saw her again.
MN and my friend Hiroshi gave me the name of the Artist : TSURUTA Ichiro http://www.tsuruta-bijinga.com/
I so love her eyes and her Modigliani 'kind of look' face. All his creations are rare and link directly to the essence of Japanese women's beauty : Beautiful Morning (2006) and Forget Me Not (2003) are still floating on my mind.
Have a look at his work and enjoy! I want to meet this lady in real life.

Maki, Angela
Would you believe that I walked for over two hours from TY Harbour brewery, located in Shinagawa (facing the harbour) to Ebisu (JR station)...? I felt lost but safe : a very strong feeling of freedom. I stopped couple times and checked the direction with two people from a local Koban (police station) to ask for my way. That's how I found that even riding a bike can get you a ticket in Japan!

I followed the very long Yamate Dori with the eyes wide opened. I just love strolling in the streets of Tokyo!
So I reached Ebisu about 5PM. My next meeting was at 6PM so I decided to stop at Starbuck's for a pause and may be indulge myself to a coffee.
But a surprise was there for me. As I entered and looked for a comfortable spot, I noticed the back and the beautiful shiny black long hair of a lady. I got attracted by the color of her skin and the quality of her complexion. I stared at the shoulder (with black stripes and white top) for about 10 minutes. Then decided to sit in front of the lady hoping she would be as beautiful as her skin.
I was not disappointed as she looked up from her Japanese book. I was struck by her beauty and her pure face. Her attitude is graceful and she has gentle moves when she speaks.
She reminded me of a song I heard couple years ago and that made me trip : "when she smiles she lights the sky" by Plant Life.

Eventually I engaged conversation and asked her if I could take pictures of her. After some explanations, she agreed. I left her my contact details (welcome to contact me!).
Then she revealed that she is both a model (I could guess easily) and a pro surfer... With an amazing american accent and the ability to read Japanese! What else can you ask for?
Angela Maki, ladies and gentlemen! She is far more beautiful live than on my pictures ; guess I was a little bit troubled hanashi ga aru dakedo (I tell you).

Omote Sando, unknown beauty
Japan has always been a treasure island for me... Tokyo's Omote Sando is the place to go when in need to walk and look at people. Less crowded and packed than Shibuya.
Omote Sando is seen as Tokyo's Champs-Elysées ;-) as shown on the trash cans (Harajuku is the district). That was a surprise to see Champs-Elysées printed on a trash can!

I was going back to a meeting place when I saw the white t-shirt lady from the street. I walked to the bridge and took this picture.
Simple style with nice shoes yet very effective!
